No Big Fan of Ole Blue Eyes

How many of you caught the tribute to Frank Sinatra Saturday night? I’d be interested in knowing how many consider Frank “the greatest singer ever” anymore.

There are those who, believe it or not, either do or did consider him “the greatest singer in the world.” It would be more accurate to say he was one of the most popular – the man did have a way of putting a song across. And, too, he had some darn good ones in his repertoire:  The Lady is a Tramp, Let’s Fly Away, Fly Me to the Moon, My Way, New York, New York, to name a few.

Although I am of a vintage that would enable me to have been a Sinatra fan for many years, I didn’t really care for him until he was dead. I didn’t like the guy personally. (There were a lot of people who didn’t.)

I was introduced to Frank Sinatra twice – both times at Lake Tahoe, the resort on the California-Nevada border. (I mention this only seldom because I tire of seeing people roll their eyes when I say it.)  Allow me to explain:  I grew up in the Reno, Nevada-Lake Tahoe area.  Most years, I built fence in the summer and worked the resort hotels in the winter. What’s so uncommon about a resort worker – waiter, bartender, busboy, particularly a room-service waiter (eh, eh), becoming acquainted with a celebrity?  Many of the celebs were, under all the glitter, regular folks.

At one time I waited tables at the Christmas Tree Restaurant near Lake Tahoe, which was a hugely famous attraction for celebrities when they were working in the area.  There I met – and often talked to – Rosemary Clooney (who had a huge, HUGE crush on Jim DeMaria, the other waiter.)  Jim was a handsome fellow of about fifty years. His hair was premature gray, he had a great smile,  and he spoke with a really deep voice; he was charming; he was a favorite with much of our female clientele, which tended toward middle-age.  (Me? Nope. Not my crowd.  I was a bit more popular at the Peppermint Lounge). DiMaria had a lot friends among entertainment’s “swells”.  He was best buds with Frankie Laine, a famous singer of the time - That’s My Desire,  Mule Train, Rawhide (the theme song for the TV western Rawhide), Ghostriders in the Sky, High Noon, etc.  Jim and his wife often had dinner with Al Martino, another singer and he was pals with Billy Eckstein, musician extraordinaire.

DiMaria introduced me to many of his celebrity friends, and many I met through other people. I was introduced by mutual friends to Marilyn Monroe in Harolds Club in Reno in the early sixties – right after she and Clark Gable finished filming The Misfits. No, I missed meeting Clark Gable, which would have been double cool. I met Jackie Gleason at the Christmas Tree, as well as Ella Fitzgerald. On at least two occasions I sang with The Kingston Trio – Sloop John B., Tiajuana Jail – at the Christmas Tree.

Enough for background.

Something else hard to believe:  I was introduced to Sinatra by Bill Harrah, the owner of Harrah’s Stateline Gambling Casino, with whom I was breakfasting.  I bartended the graveyard shift at Stateline and often encountered Harrah, who usually took his first meal of the day on a couch in the front of the casino. He liked to look out on the morning traffic while he sipped coffee in his bathrobe. He always invited me to join him, for company – we were both pretty heavy fans of college basketball.  (Bill Harrah also owned one of the most extensive  antique car collections on the West Coast – which he sold later, when authorities (I don’t know which) forced him to license them all!) He took me to see them; I was never so in awe of a collection of anything in my life. Those cars were absolutely amazing!

Anyway, Harrah introduced me to Sinatra. (He would later introduce me to Sammy Davis Jr. at the same place.) The three of us chatted and drank Harrah’s coffee, while we smoked cigarettes inside a public place (how about that, huh?). When it became obvious the two had things to discuss that didn’t involve me, I split and went home. My next encounter with the man was at the Cal-Neva Club, where I had gone with Jim DiMaria and Frankie Laine. (This club was then owned by the Mafia. Sam Giancana, Chicago Mafia boss, one mean-looking sob, and a pal of Sinatra was pointed out to me, though I must admit, I was never sure it was really him. There is some interesting mob history in the place; google it for more details).)  I was again introduced to the Great One, and subsequently ignored.  (In fairness, this occurred shortly after Sinatra’s son, Frank Jr. was kidnapped in the fall of 1963; I imagine it was a stressful time for him.)

Whatever my motivation , I was ever a fervent fan of Sinatra. Yeah, I could listen to his music – why not? it was good stuff – but I was a product of the sixties. Give me Elvis, Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dillon. I was also into country music and was a huge fan of Merle Haggard and had been a fan of the great  Johnny Horton before his untimely death in 1960.

Even when I moved to NYC in the late sixties and there were Sinatra fans everywhere one turned, I remained distant. I remember remarking to a co-worker in the deli in which I worked that I didn’t think Sinatra sang all that well. My middle-aged compadre put it all in prospective when he said, “It’s all in the way he puts his songs across.” That I could see all right. Trouble is that by this time I was more and more into country.

It wasn’t until Ole Blue Eyes passed in 1998 that I became a fan of his music.

Leftists Plot Ruin of Radio Talkers

When we last met we were into a one-way (that being me) discussion on this business of the Unholy Triumvirate – George Soros, Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton attacking conservative talk radio.

(By the way, how did we ever get a president named Barack Obama? Every time I write the name into the computer, it comes up underlined in red, which is the computer’s way of saying, “What the hell is this? This must be a mistake – erase it and start over.” A lovely idea, but we’re stuck with it for awhile.)

It seems like every time there is an America-destroying event being hidden from the view of the public, this asshole George Soros is leading the way. And always, right behind, is BO and HRC, hands hidden from the camera, but very likely scrounging deeply into the America destroyer’s back pocket. These two mooks will do anything Soros says as long as he keeps the coffers open. Typical politicians. There are Republican money grubbers in the tank with this communist prick also, but they are a subject for another time.

What does it matter that the Unholy Triumvirate (or you can refer to them as a troika, if you wish – a Russian word that fits) is out to shut down conservative talk radio. The fact that the goal is to accomplish the task BEFORE THE 2016 ELECTION should answer the question. The evil three are afraid the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Lars Larson, et al, will poison the electorate in favor of the Republican nominee! Face it, without these talkers on the air to cut through the crap fed to us by the Soros-paid-for media, in many cases, we wouldn’t know fact from fiction. With the media slanted the way it is, it will be mostly fiction.

There have been many occasions over the years when some bit of news came from the media, and I’m thinking maybe that don’t sound so bad! But later I’d hear Rush on the radio or tune into Hannity’s TV show and get an entirely different take. There was always something critical the media left out.  Lies by omission, the fodder of the left! Almost always, since BO has been around, the truth is bad for we the people. The man has NEVER signed a piece of legislation that favored the voters. Always something was taken away or something bad was given. Or it was just another lie. Remember Stimulus 2009? Almost a trillion (with a “t”) dollars to create jobs? But there were no jobs. And I doubt there have any since 2009. I believe none of economic reports that come form the government. It’s all bee-ess. (Last week it was reported the unemployment rate slipped down another couple of percentage points, to like 5.3 or something close. The actual unemployment rate has never been so high as now, for so long since the Depression. It’s more like 20 percent, for crying out loud. Such lies, always the lies. The report also noted 267,000 new jobs created. In a pig’s keister. If anything, it was closer to 7 or many likely -7.)

Let’s get back to the Unholy Triumvirate (the evil group of three). As we all are aware, George Soros, the communist from Hungary, which I think was one of the other countries he destroyed so he could steal its resources, is a multibillionaire (with a “b”). He might even have more money than Donald Trump. While Trump spends his (and other people’s) money to build things and create jobs, the communist daddy of BO and HRC uses his to destroy countries. Soros hates America and is out to destroy it. He’s done it before (maybe five times) so he’s good at it and he has a lot of money to put toward his dream of an America reduced to third-world status – no jobs, no opportunities, high taxes, lots of welfare (for the chosen people from south of the border) lousy but expensive healthcare, death panels: you get the idea.

Soros heads Soros Fund Management, a hugely successful company that pays him billions each year, and he uses his money to destroy our homeland. Liberal politicians fawn over the guy and are rewarded  Play Soros’ games, collect Soros’ money. One of the PACs he supports, Priorities USA Action, spent, get ready now, $75,000,000 to get BO elected twice. That amount of money and all of the cheating at the voting booths shows just how popular BO really was.

Soros funds a website, Media Matters for America, which is just a big hissy fit over the policies of the right. It’s liberal crap at it’s finest. They call everything conservatives believe in “misinformation. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. It is strongly suspected – in fact it’s a good bet, the founder and president of Media Matters is a wacko. ‘Tis said the man is paranoid and believes right wing “wackos’ are out to do him in. He carries a gun and supports a team of security people. So far, the right wing has been behaving itself. So far. (If he should this, those two words will drive him further over the edge.)

Soros et al is scheming to force the right wing talkers off the air before the election, so that at the time of the election, HRC will have complete control of media. With no right wing talkers, we’ll never hear the truth about anything. The plan is to intimidate and/or blackmail the advertisers of the shows into pulling their ads. No advertising money, no talk radio.

HOW IT WORKS: A guy named Angelo Canusone, a real left-winger, leads a team of hardcore left activists who blackmail and attack talk show advertisers online. According to a mailing from Radio America, they are, “Using automated (and illegal) software, these thugs flood advertisers with what appears to be thousands of demands to drop their support for conservative talk hosts. In reality, there’s no more than ten people doing the attacking.” It’s all bee-ess but, unfortunately, it works. Apparently, again according to the mailing, “advertisers are leaving (the talk shows) in droves – Clorox, Domino’s Pizza, Quicken Loans, JCPenney, Lowes, Sleep Number and Ancestry.com to name a few. Perhaps, if enough people got involve, we could help by boycotting these companies but first be sure to tell them why we are refusing to buy from them. We can’t just let them get away with this.
.
This is the most critical issue of this pre-election season. If Hillary gains access to the White House, she will, without a doubt, finish the destruction of our homeland that BO started. Count on it.

If this kind of liberal skullduggery doesn't drive you crazy, wait until you read what comes next!

How the Left is Driving Us Crazy Pt. 2

Before we go much further in this series of How the Left is Driving Us Crazy, there is something I need to clarify.
I was talking to an acquaintance over the weekend and, as it does more and more these days, an inoffensive discussion about the World Series swerved into a rather heated debate on politics. Liberal Democrats refuse to give up their utopian ideas of an Obama-orchestrated PC world and how wonderful it will be. When told we’re nearly to that point now and the world doesn’t look so great, they get mad. Not at the failure of El Semi Uno’s PC world to bring about the utopian dream, but rather mad at me for bringing it up in the first place. I’m the bad guy. Obama is great.
The piss ant with whom I was speaking finally referred to yours truly as a Republican Party wonk, meaning I represented all that the Republican Party stood for and had no ideas of my own, yadda, yadda. When I asked him what that was, he had no answers – liberals seldom do. For the most part, they are a stupendously stupid bunch, reminiscent of a herd of sheep, one of the most stupid animals God ever created. In this particular case, I had no answers either, meaning I don’t know, anymore, what the Republican Party represents. I doubt if it represents much of anything. Party wonks are too busy trying to appease the president rather than working toward the fulfillment of conservative ideals, the espousal of which are, in most cases, what got them elected in the first place (and that they will again espouse when re-election looms.)
So, no, I am no Republican Party wonk. I am, however, a conservative wonk. It is conservative ideals that made America the great country it is  (or was). There is not a single liberal principle (if there is such a thing) that contributes to the betterment of Western civilization. Liberals have concerned themselves with how to destroy our culture and, with El Semi Uno leading the way, and they are succeeding. Obama is not a failure as a president, as so many talking heads on TV and friends and acquaintances claim. He is the most successful president who ever held the office. He said he would “fundamentally transform America” and he has done so.
If we have any chance to rebuild the America we once knew and return it to its former glory, we must completely renounce the liberal agenda. Everything must go. There is nothing about it worth keeping. We must make a determined effort to instill conservative principles in our children and adult voters, namely those ideals and practices that made our country great in the first place. What are these great ideals and practices to which I refer? Listen up:
We conservatives believe in small government, not a bloated bureaucracy that over-taxes half the population in order to play nanny to the other half, at the same time pandering for its vote. With small government comes lower taxes; people get to keep the money they have earned. Government produces nothing but takes freely from producers. With small government there are fewer regulations, therefore fewer taxes needed to pay government regulators. With less federal government comes less federal interference in states’ affairs, as proscribed by the 9th amendment.
Conservatives believe in a “citizens right to keep and bear arms.” Conservative politicians don’t sneak around making guns and ammunition difficult to buy, with a view to banning guns altogether sometime soon. (I know a guy who got into trouble with the law 50 years ago and cannot buy a gun). The right to keep and bear arms is also named in the Bill of Rights under the 2nd Amendment. What’s there about “a citizen’s right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed “ don’t these the president's minions understand?
While we’re on the subject of the Constitution, which is nothing but a mere annoyance to liberals, it is the Law of the Land for conservatives, who believe in the rule of law. An ordered society is not possible without rules to moderate our behavior. Society moves along smoothly when the people in it abide by the law. When the rules become an annoyance, something to be skirted when in the way, ignored when preventing the “progression” of illegal activities, society becomes a mess, such as it is today. Society wasn’t always a mess. It’s messy today because of the activities of a corrupt liberal government that frequently violates the precepts of the Constitution.
Two examples were discussed above; here’s another: The 1st Amendment states that we are free to speak our minds, congregate peacefully when and with whom we please, attend the church of our choice, say what needs to be said in the press, and complain to the government when we have been wronged by it.
Political correctness is a flagrant violation of the freedom of speech, and it gets worse every day. Colleges and universities are the worst offenders, with the current administration running a close second. Congregate with whom you please – just remember your actions are on camera. Our government harbors Islamists in the White House. Those who espouse this religion openly state their intent to make America an Islamist country; we will have no choice in the matter. Oh, and by the way, it’s all supposed to be kept quiet. They are sneaking up on us. Go to the press with your story – keep in mind the media jumped in bed with the Socialists years ago. The media is plainly another branch of the corrupt government. Very often those who complain to the government about the government wind up without jobs. They are known as whistleblowers and are treated as an annoyance rather than honest people reporting a crime or a violation of rules. Most are treated shabbily.
I hope you enjoyed reading this. We’ll continue with our conversation on How the Left is Driving Us Crazy and talk about what it means to be a conservative next time.

How the Left is Driving Us Crazy Pt. 1

I hope you will all agree with me that it’s maddening that one of our major political parties must lie continuously to forward its agenda. (Of course we have another one that has no agenda, but that’s a subject for another time.)
I have wondered aloud (as it were) in this space on a number of occasions why the leanings of the left are diametrically opposed to the tenets of conservatism. I can think of no issue in which liberals and conservatives agree. Why is that? It is known, though by no one on the left, that conservative beliefs were responsible for the creation of the greatest civilization the world has ever known – the one the left is anxious to tear apart. There is no sane reason to want to do this. They’ve only made things worse.
For instance, liberal educators brought “sight reading” to the schools in an effort to replace phonics, a tried and true method of teaching grade school children to read.  The experiment didn’t work, of course, but what it did do was create several generations of kids with poor reading skills. High schools and colleges were forced to hire teachers to train children to do the things the grade schools failed to do. Why would the left do such a thing? One line of thought says that the purpose of producing youngsters who had difficulty reading was to turn them away from reading and prevent them from educating themselves. That way, it is said, the left found it easy to push forward their nefarious agenda by keeping the populace in the dark intellectually. And if it hadn’t been for the kids showing poorly on standardized tests, the progressives (the left likes us to believe progressivism is the pursuit of progress, principally through more enlightened and compassionate social organization, while conservatives consider “progressive” to be a sneaky catchall euphemism for socialists and Marxists and communists and all that rot) would have gotten away with it. If the knowledge that there are people in the education field so evil as to withhold the ability to read from the nation’s school children in order to forward their agenda doesn’t drive you crazy, keep reading.
Just last week we touched on the subject of abortion and Planned Parenthood (an obvious misnomer inasmuch as this outfit isn’t planning on any parenthood or, for that matter, on allowing childhood. The fact that it is legal to destroy the life of a child right up to the time of natural birth is wrong, awfully wrong. The very idea should drive you crazy.
While we’re on the subject of children and how they have been victimized by the “progressive” movement, both before and after their entry into the world, let’s have a look at the families that should be raising them. There is no serious sociologist who will not agree that the absence of a father in the household is the worse possible scenario for children. (Sorry, girls, no matter what you think, you are no substitute for a having a man in the house, preferably a husband, not a revolving door of “daddies” and “Uncle Joes.” These are not “men” but Joe the Grinders.)
According to Phyllis Schlafly, lawyer, author of many books on children’s education and president of the Eagle Forum (see her website): “Father absence is devastating for children … it is the single most reliable predictor for a whole roster of negative outcomes: low self-esteem, parental alienation, high school dropouts (71 percent are fatherless) truancy, early sexual activity, promiscuity, teen pregnancy, gang membership, imprisonment (85 percent are fatherless) drug abuse, homelessness (90 percent of runaways have an absent father), a 40 percent higher risk of sexual abuse and a 100 percent higher risk of fatal abuse (good ole Joe the Grinder at work, very likely).
Schlafly continues: Why haven’t the facts of fatherlessness made a dent in the family law system?” she asks. “In a word – ideology.” In other words, the Democrat Party, which benefits enormously from the destruction of the family. Polls repeatedly show married voters vote Republican, while unmarried people tend to vote the liberal Democrat ticket – by a 30 percent margin. Liberals need broken families to survive. The wreckage of the American family renders us incapable of having limited government because it is necessary that government step in to replace “daddy”, re-form the nuclear family, and provide a welfare check.
It’s difficult to believe that many decades ago, Marxist revolutionaries (followed by those  who call themselves progressives) conspired to slowly, inexorably destroy American culture, the religion –Christianity– that underpinned it, and the nuclear family, for which it had been created. Their goal was to fundamentally transform the United States of America. So this president isn’t the first one to come up with the idea of destroying our homeland. That not only drives me crazy, it really pisses me off.
There are some other aspects of the culture intended to drive us crazy, but let’s take a break and we’ll pick it up again in the middle of the week.

Planned Parenthood Needs to Go

“We’ve become very good at getting hearts and lungs and livers. So I’m not gonna crush that part. I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact” That’s how Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services explained to a potential customer (who held a concealed camera) how unborn baby body parts are routinely harvested for profitable reuse.
The president of Planned Parenthood attempted an apology for the callousness of the words uttered by Dr. Deborah Nucatola at a business lunch. Nucatola sipped wine and stabbed idly at her salad while talking to the “customer,” as though it was all routine; there was no sign of reluctance or remorse. Just “crush”, sip, swallow; ”crush”, sip, swallow, ad nauseam. Oh, it was never denied that Nucatola’s words accurately reflect PP’s prescribed method of gleaning parts. The president apologized only for the tone in which the butcher doctor explained her method. Even this apology was not sincere, only mouth music.
Can somebody out there please explain to me how a doctor who presumably became a doctor in order to attend the healing of the sick and infirm and took the Hypocratic Oath (the first tenet of which states, “First of all, do no harm) to that effect, could waste her knowledge and expertise ripping unborn babies from their mother’s wombs and cutting them up, seeking salable parts to sell to the highest bidder? One of these female abortionists said she planned to make enough money selling these parts to buy a Lamborghini. She aspired to high goals (and the butchering of many babies). There is something lacking in these PP females. Call me old fashioned, but I was under the impression woman had a higher level of compassion for children than most men. But for some of the gentler sex all that’s needed is to wave a handful of greenbacks their way and they’ll stoop to anything. (Men are susceptible to greed also, but the subject here is butchering babies inside and sometimes outside the womb done by women at PP. It’s a practice men are involved in also, but I would think women would shun and fight against it because of a (reputed) innate maternal instinct. But wave a few bucks and pfft, the instinct goes away.)
This gal Nucatola, likely after slugging down a bit too much fruit of the vine, went on to explain to her “customer” how the abortion doctor will “actually try to change the presentation (of the birth) so that it’s not vertex (head first). That means intentionally delivering the baby feet or bottom first in order to cause “dilation,” which makes it easier for the abortionist to “evacuate an intact calvarium (head) at the end.”  Evacuate =  abscond with the infants brain.
Notice the use of scientific names for the body parts of the infants. Could this be an attempt to avoid subscribing humanity to them? Why not say “head” and “head first?” Evacuate the calvarium, a euphemism of scooping out the brain and shipping ioy off to who knows where. Could it be that it’s easier to kill the little critters if, while you’re at it, you’re not thinking of them as children? Must be.
Phyllis Schlafly of the Eagle Forum in a piece written for Whistleblower magazine asks a poignant question. “Aside from the apparent illegality of such activities, how did we reach the point in our country where an organization, led by persons with such lack of conscience, was able to attain such power, influence and respectability that its president addressed the last Democratic National Convention? (That was the same convention whose delegates booed a motion to recognize God)” Says something about Democrats, doesn’t it.
Planned Parenthood has seen huge government largesse, in tune with the deep-pocketed feminists love of Roe v. Wade. Last year the organization pocketed $500 million of your money to order to continue the murder of the unborn? (It’s been said some of these little fellas are alive when they come into the world – only then are they butchered. So they are not all “unborn.”
My God, man, where does it end?) By the way, your president, while a state senator, voted three times against a bill that would allow babies born alive – those who survive the abortion process - to be cared for by the attending doctor (there’s a lucky catch for a parent, huh?) The president and many of his democrat cronies thought it okay to kill these children also. This, of course, to appease feminist donors.
Folks, after the deaths of 60 million of the nation’s youngest children, it’s time to end the slaughter. Women have shown that given “choice” they are incapable of handling the responsibility of caring for and guiding the lives of their offspring. They’ve gone off on a near half-century of glee and slap-happy sexual promiscuity knowing there was a taxpayer funded way to free themselves of the drudgery of raising their children. Just “go have it taken care of.” It’s easy, and you avoid the responsibility of motherhood. It’s so convenient (93 percent of abortions are done for the sake of convenience.). Yep, it’s true.
It’s time to end state and federal taxpayer support for an organization that provides  little of value, promotes nothing to the general welfare, and is run by people who lack even a semblance of common decency when addressing the dignity of human life.
Let’s cut the purse strings, then concentrate on abolishing the law that makes most of  what goes on there legal. Sixty million tiny souls lost forever. That’s the population of a good-sized country, for crying out loud. What are we waiting for? Until they kill another sixty million? Another good-sized country?
Enough is enough!

No Time for "Life"

I’m a gregarious sort. I’ve been known to start a conversation with just about anybody I happen to be standing near. In fact, I used to embarrass the bejesus out of my kids that way. I haven’t changed. I’ve had some pretty darned interesting talks with people I just start talking to, out of the blue.
I go to the Y just about every weekday, sometimes on Saturdays for a swim. Tuesday, I was pedaling a bicycle, there was a young woman on the machine next door. Fox News had an item on discussing the Planned Parenthood fiasco, and the next thing I know we’re talking about this “choice” business. As might be expected, most of the people in my milieu of friends choose life. I was, however, not surprised when this chick announced she was for “choice”, which as we know, means no choice for the unborn. I did manage to hold my tongue – up to a point.
“So you think its okay for a woman to have her baby killed, for the sake of convenience?” I asked, trying to sound off-handed about the whole thing.
“It’s not a baby; they said it was an inviable tissue mass.”
“Who said?”
“Our health teacher, in school. She said when it was inside the mother, it was not a baby.”
My God, another clueless high school science teacher. Or a liberal one. Or both. I rue the future of America’s high school students. But they’ve already been given a royal screwing by the education system in New York state.
“Of course it’s a baby. What else could it possibly be? According to that way of thinking, you, me, everybody was an inviable tissue mass at one time. Look at us now! Aren’t we both glad some asshole didn’t chop us up to little pieces and flush us down the toilet. Or, tumble us alive out of the womb onto a butcher block and start cutting us up into “choice” cuts.
“They don’t do that!”
“Kermit Gosnell did it all the time. And, from what was said, there are many more abortionists out there dong the same thing. Planned Parenthood is just figuring out how to make more money from selling “choice” parts. One of their doctors was taped saying she planned to be more careful so she wouldn’t “crunch“ any valuable parts.
“But if they’re inviable, who cares?”
“The babies may be considered inviable inasmuch as they cannot sustain themselves outside the mother’s womb. No fetus can survive on its own. That ‘s why God gave them nine months to mature. Even then they need help; that’s why he gave them over to moms and dads to care for them. Babies were not intended to be killed by their mothers.
“Actually, the right word is not inviable but inviolable – meaning sacred.”
She became reticent, sitting, thinking things over. I began to think I had perhaps reached her at some level, had her thinking differently about killing babies.
She broke the silence by stating she was pregnant and planning an abortion.
It was my turn to clam up and think about what she planned to do. I was angered by her admission, but I dared not let it show. I turned my gaze toward the television and watched the images move about. I wasn’t absorbing any of the content but thinking of how I might go about saving this woman’s baby’s life.
“Have you considered giving the baby up for adoption?” I asked.
“Nah (that was her word – nah). It’ll be better to have the abortion – you know, get it over with. I don’t want to bother being pregnant – too much hassle. I got to lead my life; a baby would be in the way.”
“Where do you work (although I was pretty sure I knew the answer)?”
“Nowhere,” she shrugged as if it didn’t matter.
Then she hit me with the zinger (the reason I decided to write this blog): Looking sad, she said, “I don’t want to bring anymore babies into this ugly world.”
Oh.
What a noble thought.
I wanted to say it – I really wanted to yell it out, but I’m too much of a gentleman (or maybe chicken is a better word.). I wanted to say if the people being refused the right to live were like her, maybe we would all be better off not having them around. We have enough terrorists to worry about. We certainly don’t need to have them wielding knives in centers for women’s health, which is what “healthcare providers” at Planned Parenthood would like us to think about them.
But the young women idly pedaling her bike had one thing right: It can be an ugly world; people like her have made it that way. If there were no women wanting to destroy the “inviable tissue mass” weighing them down and interfering with their social lives, there would no need for abortionists.

Planned Parenthood - War on Life

The news of the undercover tapes showing Planned Parenthood managers discussing availability and pricing for spare baby parts was, to say the least, disturbing (and, not surpringly, no longer in the headlines). Abortion-on-demand is, at its core, wrong; totally, morally wrong. And, no, you can’t mitigate the wrong by pretending the fetus being brutally withdrawn from its place of creation, whole or possibly cut into pieces, or burnt with acid, to shrink it for easy removal, is not a developing human being but rather an inviable tissue mass. It ain’t so. To pretend otherwise apparently makes it easier to commit murder, doesn’t it?
What has occurred in this country for the past 42 years – the wholesale slaughter of 60 million innocents – is easily comparable to the Holocaust – the wholesale annihilation of 6 million Jews by the Nazis – only 10 times worse!
My God, women of America, what the hell are you doing in the name of freedom to do what you want with your bodies? Freedom of choice? It always means death for a baby, when you’re given a choice. You are permitted the freedom of ignoring your responsibility for becoming pregnant in the first place. Just “go and get rid of it”, that it? Sixty million tiny souls whisked away at your convenience.
(You may be thinking this is merely the rantings of a jaded old conservative male, and I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that’s the case; the truth, however, is quite different. I have been influenced, supported, and advised, if you will, by the women in my family and in our circle of friends – and all of the men! I was ready to cut a potential murderess some slack when rape and incest were the origins of the life in the crosshairs, but the women in the family and a goodly number of the others say that adoption is the best remedy. There is no excuse for killing babies. Life is always the way to go. And how you deprive these tiny humans the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. After all, were you not permitted these freedoms?
You may feel good about your beliefs concerning abortion, within your milieu of friends – your support system, but the majority of women in this country have contrary feelings about killing their children for the sake of convenience, or for any other reason. When I think of all the married couples unable to find babies to adopt, and all those tossed in dumpsters, I, and many like me, are deeply saddened. And angry; deeply angry.
What’s become of the women of America? All I hear is whining about the unfairness of the world in dealing with women. Meanwhile, they scratch and claw their way into the nation’s corporations, many successfully.  Democrats, especially the career political criminal Hillary Clinton, accuse Republicans of waging a war on women. Is the country unkind to women? I haven’t noticed it, if it’s true. On the other hand, if Clinton says it’s true, it almost certainly is not. There is (supposedly) a glass ceiling as far as wages go. The disparity is supposed to reflect the problem of biology, in that women are responsible for promulgating the species, one they’ve been more than happy to abrogate. That makes abortion-on-demand a handy tool to get ahead in corporate life, doesn’t it, ladies? Throw the kid inder the bus in order to move ahead in business. How noble.
“Well, Loosy Moosy,” says the boss, “I see your preggy again; I’ll have to pay family time benefits. Sorry, you’re canned.”
“No! Wait, Mr. Stonenuts,” wales Loosy Moosy, both hands holding the little mound of her belly, “all I need is a couple of days off. I’ll take care of it”
And Loosy Moosy races from the building. She returns three days later; the little mound of her belly is gone, her stomach is flat, and there is a haunted look in her eyes. (Nobody said it would be easy – just convenient.)
She reports to Stonenuts, who noticed the lack and, smiling, says, “Good job, Moosy, now you can have your raise.” How noble.
The denial of the humanity of an unborn child is absurd. Abortionists, particularly those immersed in the platitudes of the Planned Parenthood movement and should know better, claim otherwise. Abortion “doctors” have forsaken the Hippocratic Oath for the Hippocritical. But the false claim is belied by the very reason they were found  to be marketing human body parts in the first place. If the unborn children are not human (as they claim), why then are they being marketed for their human body parts? As usual, when trying to make sense of things related to the liberal spectrum of ideas, its tough to connect the dots.
What all this boils down to is, perhaps we should not get too hyped up over the nonexistent War on Women, but rather on the very real womens’ war on America’s children.
